Copyright, fair use, and covering my saintly tail

Although not exactly a saint, deep in my heart I am a quite decent bloke. I don't like to be stolen from, and in turn I don't want to steal from anybody else - it really is that simple. Now the internet is the exact area where it's extremely easy to fall into the trap of stealing without even being aware of the sad fact, on account of it not always being too clear where the border between "fair use" and "copyright infringement" has been drawn. Believe me, I have been professionally dealing with copyright issues since the mid 1960's, and I still can't explain it any clearer than: "If it's created by somebody else you can't use it, except where (case) law states otherwise".

When compiling this website I have seriously tried to use, next to the large loads of stuff that I own, only photos and such that I believe to be either in the public domain or used by me in such a way/context that it falls under "fair use". But: considering that "fair use" is a very limiting concept (most webmasters, in their innocence, have no idea how limiting!), it's almost certain that I slipped here and there.

If you, he, she, they, them, thee, thou or anybody else notices anything on this site that thou, thee, them, they, she, he, you or anybody else owns the copyrights to and wants it removed, just holler. Our contact form is the best way to go about it. Your wish will be my command.
